Soil Stabilisation

Soil Stabilisation & Modification

Stabilisation techniques can be developed to make use of otherwise unsuitable materials, which in most cases are disposed off site at great expense. The advantages of using existing material on-site reduces vehicles movements, reduces costs both in terms of excavation, disposal and importing aggregates.
Stabilisation has many advantages and can be used in a wide variety of applications, by selecting the correct binder for the soil type. Almost any soil can be improved enhancing the bearing capacity to suit the project requirements.
Having undertaken numerous projects where the use of stabilisation is key, our in-house approach has provided many of our clients with the benefit of achieving handover ahead of programme and producing financial advantages along the way.

Using the latest technology, the ground can be 3D modelled giving accurate calculations of volumes of material to be excavated, filled or processed. Our on-site operations use this 3D data via GPS machine control to provide a finished product within tolerance and specification.

It is inevitable that prior to the commencement of any project, the site might require preparation, this could be the demolition of redundant buildings, the clearing of vegetation, topsoil removal, cut and filling of the site or installing a temporary haul road. We at On Grade can perform these works for you.

Our in-house capabilities mean we can offer detailed topographical surveying and final scheme modelling which has been proven to not only save on third party Professional Team costs but time also. By keeping the surveying and design in house we are able to optimise levels and the potential for site won material, reducing costs for disposal off site and the importation of now ever increasingly expensive aggregates.
